I've met a few people that of dropped 100 large or more on a plate, this is something that has never made any sense to me. What a total waste of coin IMHO. I heard about that... I agree, what a waste.... But look at the other side of the fence, I know someone who bought two 2-digit plates for AED60...

IMHO for the cars that you want you're better off just getting a brand spanker, cause they cost next to nothing here anywayz. Just the rego and duty in Sg for a corolla would be more than the cost of buying the whole car here.

A64Venice wrote:Well SG is completely different. The COE for cars here (kinda like a tax) doubles the prices of already hyped up car prices. A lancer here in SG would cost close to S$70K = AED150K. Camry goes for S$100K = AED216k

Thats why I take the mrt in Singapore :p

I think u mean Jebel Ali.

Not sure what ur budget is but u'd be looking around Greens, Gardens, Meadows, or Dubai Marina.

Price is around AED60-85k/year.

Yah, ditto to chocco, there are some really piss poor ones out there but at the same time Karama and Satwa have good ones. I prefer Karama ones cause u can find some good fabrics around there so its just more convenient - ie park your car once and spend a couple of hours walking around.

Having had a rexie/STi for 5 years I can say it shits on an A4 in every sense of the word.

Yah, wouldn't surprise me, not that its an isolated case but a lot of drongos driving around at speed and still not paying attention to other motorists - especially on J. road.

Maite, apartment in Dubai Marina area would suit you down to a tea. Stones throw away from the beach and later on once the marina is all complete and Jumeirah beach residence is all done you should be able to pick up some business from the people in the area. I know of one marine repair shop but tha...

Lumina is actually a rebadge Aussie trash car - dime a dozen there, namely the "Commonwhore". Typical no taste yobo car. Good for chewing tyres but terrible around bends.

Supra not that much better... GTR anyday of the week!
