Thanks XRW - i know with Banks it can be hit or miss, and one bad rep can ruin the whole relationship for you! No internet banking - that is pretty average, any sign in the near future of this becoming available? We have done about 95% of our banking online for a long time now, will be a huge change...

Nissan X-Trail

Hi I am not a huge car person, pretty much if i dont think its ugly it will get a tick from me :D But i do realise there are other factors to consider when buying one. My husband is a Nissan man - so getting a nissan is top priority, we ideally want a 4x4, but i dont want anything big and chunky! Ha...

The Murano falls into my "too chunky" category and i think its ugly - but ignoring my hugely technical opinion...

What is it about it that makes you like it?

The Armada is not chunky its a city :)

I like the boxyness of the X, the murano reminds me of a jelly bean.

Anyone got any non appearance based opinions/ recommendations for Nissan 4x4s

Where to get brochures and banners printed??

Just wondering whether anyone can recommend any good places to get some glossy A4 Brouchres printed along with banners and other advertising type material.

Back home would probably go to Kinko's or somewhere similar - anything like that here?

Thanks
H

What does the port look like? I am only assuming we dont have it because hubby said we didnt.

Would be good to go home and show him that it was there all along!

Checking out the HP site now to see if it gives me any clues.

hmmm...if you are only going to be out here for 9 months the company should really provide your housing for you. Most rents in Dubai require you to pay a year up front, which is not very helpful if you are not here for a full 12 months.

you will probably want to live relatively close to where you will be working - to avoid traffic hassles. Like me you will be arriving just in time for Summer - coming from Australia I didn't find the heat too bad it was the humidity that killed me! and with no rain in the summer to cool things down ...

woah nelly! just called up Geekay (i think that is what it is called) to get a price benchmark and they are selling the Wii for AED2500 - sheesh. They are supposed to be about US250 in the states, and in Aus they are about AU$300-400. Man how are they justifying that it is more than double anywhere ...

Local travel websites

Hi All

At home there were a few websites that always had last minute hotel/travel deals local to where i lived which was perfect if on a wednesday i decided i wanted to go away for the weekend - or just spend a night in a city hotel.

Are there any similar websites in Dubai?

Thanks!

hahahaha

I used to live in an area which had a whole street of korean restaurants.

I had to hold my breath down that stretch of street everyday on my way home!

Korean food is supposed to be quite nice, but how do you get past the smell!
