STATES OF UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
On 2nd of December 1971 the six Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Sharjah, Ajman, Al Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain) united to form the United Arab Emirates or UAE and on 10th Feb 1972 the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah joined the union. The capital of UAE is Abu Dhabi; the President of the UAE is H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
EMIRATE OF ABU DHABI
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi is located on the Arabian Gulf , between latitude 22.5 and 25 degrees north and longitude 51 and 55 degrees east . It is the largest of the seven emirates , with an area of 67, 340 square kilometers, equivalent to 86.7% of the total area of the UAE , not including the islands belonging to this Emirate . The city of Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE , with a population of 1,399,484 people according to the census of December 2005 . The Emirate of Abu Dhabi consists of three areas : the city of Abu Dhabi , the Eastern Region and the Western Region
