It depends how deep was her/his mistakes..
I usually forgive my bf but still there's a time that i couldn't resist to blame him again for what he has done before... I know it's past anymore but still it keeps me hurtin' inside when i remember all his mistakes..
On the contrary it's wrong to bring back the past,
We are just worried because trust is related to that.. We can't able to accept their mistakes because we can't endure the pain....
So better yet we should FORGIVE and FORGET.. We need to give them a chance because we also did mistakes and we are not perfect.. It's just like we are just human beings and did mistakes, we are not perfect on the first place...
