Hamas: "There is no justification for targeting civilians"* Apr 09, 2011
* Unless those 'civilians' are riding in a yellow school bus.

Hamas' website recently bragged about targeting a school bus with an anti-tank missile:

Gaza-Ezzedeen Al Qassam Briades (E.Q.B) the military wing of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas declared in a military communiqué released on Thursday April 7, 201l the full responsibility for the operation of targeting Israeli bus traveling in the nearby Israeli settlement of Kfar Sa’ad east of Gaza Strip.

The operation left two Israeli settlers injured, one of them was in a critical condition and evacuated by the Israeli medical crews to Soroka hospital.

But the quote in the title is taken from Hamas' English language spokesman, found on their English language website from 2007:

There is no justification for targeting civilians. It is against Islam to deliberately kill unarmed civilians during jihad. In addition, our doctrine is to target the enemies army, security services, and support apparatus. But it is known that Zionist society is a militarized society. Service in the army is mandatory; and reserve duty continues past the age of 40. Our determined stance is that unarmed persons on both sides of the conflict should be left out of the fighting.

Credit to ElderofZiyon for ripping off his thread:

But really, Westerners should believe what Hamas English spokespersons tell us because they say so.

Civilian, innocent, freedom etc. have different meanings to different group of people.

In another article on the Elder blog a poll is discussed that a third of Palestinians support the attack in Itamar, meaning a third support the stabbing to death of baby's and toddlers!

Hamas also declared again and again that killing of Zionists is natural. This is something I fail to understand, how killing can be natural for humans.

Oh the jews must have taught it from the Torah!
Even lengthy articles on the tragic incident fail to mention the extremely relevant and chillingly ironic fact that Itamar was founded and is largely populated by fanatic Jewish extremists, many of whom believe that the killing of non-Jewish infants is religiously permitted, and sometimes mandated, as discussed in a best-selling book The King’s Torah, which was written by authors from the area and endorsed by numerous rabbis and religious schools (but opposed by most Israelis).
