Playing Cards Online

Playing Cards Online Jan 08, 2007
I will be working in Dubai for 3 weeks a month for the next 6 months. My problem is that my current hobby is playing poker, both at live casinos and online. It's a great way to meet people and de-stress. And it is just a heck of a lot of fun.

I know that there are no gambling houses in the UAE, but was shocked to find out they control all the internet. Is it true that you can't access sites like poker stars and full tilt while in the UAE?

You can if you access it from DMC/DIC or an Emaar development.

I have heard they're contemplating it.

Given Du's ability to hook up an internet connection, I'll believe it when I see it.

I installed the poker sites interface prior to entering the UAE, and have just logged on, and played. No problems with Ladbrokes, InterCasino, and Club On The Park.
