Pakistani Married Couple - Remarriage {Information Required} Mar 10, 2011
Hi,

I am leaving for Ajman very soon along with my wife. Actually we hold two different work permits from two different companies. We are married here in Pakistan with no kids. My consultant who have done everything regarding visas and jobs told me that you have to remarry in UAE after you reach and can not stay together at family apartment untill you get remarried?

I asked him that why Pakistan marriage certificate is not valid .. He replied that since you are going as family on two different visas. This problem arose .. Other wise if my wife goes with me on visit visa then situation is different.

Searched internet loads of time but no information is available regarding my matter. I would be thankful to you all if you guide me sincerely.

Thank you!

That is a load of crock, just need to attest your certificate at the UAE embassy back home. Google how to go about doing that.

P.S : I would also get a new "consultant"

P.P.S : Infact any document that you will need to use officially here i.e education certificates, birth cert etc etc need to be attested by the UAE embassy there.

So, I just have to attest from UAE embassy all the documents of birth certificate, Educational documents, Marriage Certificate. That's all I need!

LOL .. I was confused with the situation and asked for the exact information according to the law. I have seen why people remarriage over there with same woman to avoid attestation hurdles in Pakistan!

Any ways, thanks for all of your comments. If you have any valuable feedback. I will appreciate that!
