The problem is you are looking for good quality, I guess you already know where to get the lower priced stuff.

By the way, where in Dubai (or probably in the East Coast) to go for fishing (fresh water, creek, shore) just for fun? Not deep sea fishing.

No fresh water fishing here m8, beach fishing used to be ok years ago on the East coast, today I really have no idea. You also see people fishing from around the base of some of Dubai bridges on the creek.

Have been told the Marina is the go, but personally I wouldn't eat anything there.

was passing the road next to deira city center, there is 1 shop selling sports/hunting equipment on the corner of garhoud bridge road and the road next to city center can't remember the name of the road but the store is called al salam. window display has a couple of fishing rods, sea type.

i also saw a shop in dragon mart selling fishing rods, reel and other fishing related stuff.

Any tips on fishing in the marina? What bait, equipment etc.
Is it really worth fishing there, even if you don't want to eat them?
