Employment Practice In Dubai?

Is it common that a Dubai employer pays their employee six months of their housing allowance in advance? In a sense advancing their employee six months of housing allowance?

Different Employers do different things, many Companies will provide the post dated cheques and then deduct from a monthly allowance.
If your Employer is doing this then it will be a help to you, however you will normally have to provide at least a post dated cheque to cover the balance.
