According to all you guys, the location, date and time should not be posted. Instead a brief description must be given about what day and time it will take place and the people interested, can PM the person organizing the EVENT and get details.

Change your " Sticky: Notes for Events posters " post to reflect this.

Please note that topics posted in the Events section, should be relevant to events happening in the UAE. The topic should have a header giving brief information as to what the event is about. They should have date, location, time, cost and information about the event if possible. Web addresses may also be included.

Items posted just asking if there is something going on, or other items not deemed relevant will be moved to General or a more appropriate section.

I think that just refers to community events...not df events. It's pretty much common knowledge now that when posting a private event not to put the details on the open and just pm it.

wow! then I guess i'm the only naive person among you 'know it all' people.

But as you said "It's pretty much common knowledge now" , NOW being the keyword. Before, who knew?

Its a single Section that reads 'Dubai Events'.. One would think it means "events happening in Dubai" which would include Community and DF Events..

no no.. why would I take it personally? In my post, concerning my event, someone says "people should have common sense and blah blah blah" "it should be common knowledge" ..

Bushra is correct, public events should have the place, date, time before being posted as they will be advertised in the media anyway.

Only DF events will have those details PM'd to those members who wish to attend, to avoid any unwanted people showing up as it would be a 'private' event.

Sticky updated to include info about DF events.
