THREE THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE DECIDING ON A TUTORING CENTER Dec 28, 2015
If your child needs help with homework in topics like Math or English, then you are amongst the many parents who are looking for tutoring help for their children. But where can you find tutoring help in Dubai? Good tutors are everywhere but if you think you can trust a stranger to spend one to one time tutoring you child, then you better think this over. It is always advisable to look for a tutoring center that is convenient, affordable and good quality. But what does a “good” tutoring program look like? Below are the top three things a parent should look for before settling on a tuition center:

Does the center have a curriculum that caters to your child’s individual tutoring needs? In other words check that there is a proper assessment done in order to pinpoint the specific gaps your child has. Make sure that your child’s learning is not dependent on individual tutor but rather on the tutoring system. If the center does not prescribe to a curriculum or a program, then you are just putting a band aid on the wound and your child is likely to continue to struggle in school
Does the program regularly assess the progress of your child? this assessment should ideally be done before or after each private tutoring lesson. If the center director is not calling you regularly for parent conferences to discuss progress then you are not getting the full benefit and you should try to find a different center.
Is the location of the center convenient to you? Because if the tutoring center location is not convenient to you, you are less likely to go regularly. Look for centers that make your convenient and comfort their top priority.
