how do you know they are doing it for kicks? Its very simple. If there is no car in the next lane you move aside and you let the lunatic through. By staying in the same lane, you are just showing your ego and putting yourself and others in a dangerous situation.

i have seen accidents occur when some stupid person didnt let the "lunatic" go through.

there are road cameras and police patrol, so why take the law into your own hands?

not really that type though... just a couple of days ago I saw two cars like that... I was on the next lane and the lunatic when to the 3rd so he can just take the fast lane back again... well having a mustang has its perks for me I just stay off the fast lane.... having a baby on the way I'd think twice before I do some crazy stunt... hehehe

...come to think of it... if I was driving a mustang I would drive like that lunatic as well... specially if the one in front of me is a yaris...

yeh i understand there are loads of crazy ppl out there. but imagine if you had a emergency and you need to drive at 180 kph in the fast, what would you do? flash i guess instead of weaving in and out of traffic.

I had my first run in with some Indian dude late last night and it was kinda fun.

My girlfriend was merrily driving along at five over the limit as he came right up to our back bottom in his Camry and started flashing the corners for some reason. No problem there, I thought as she moved into the second lane. But lo and behold what have we here! The guy pulls alongside and starts looking toward my girl through his untinted windows and acts as if he wants to race. WTF is that? Two seconds later, she gunned it and made it a no contest.

I normally don't advise anyone to race like that but some guys really need to understand that a Camry can never beat a Z4.

hmmmm... well here in Dubai probably what you see is what you get... but if you go to some countries where you can gear up your car with a little turbo and a little nitro... you can never tell... =)

definitely doesnt sound even remotely like an Indian or south asian. Need to get your eyes checked. However, you probably think you and your gf did something great didnt you? and that where the problem lies.

I will again stress and echo rudeboy's reply

if someone is on high speed at the far left lane flashing you to give way and your right lane is empty you SHOULD give way... this is said by a policemen...

if its emergency or if its any other reason... not giving a way, will cause/force the speeding driver to make dangerous overtaking and cause accidents...

thats why there are camera's and police to monitor speeding drivers...

A very good friend of mine who is a policeman patrols everyday on emirates road confirms to me the cause of most accidents are due to slow drivers (mostly indians) getting into the left lane and meeting up with a speeding driver (usually Emirati)...

also, one of the main reasons of traffic jams on major highways, is slow drivers causing everyone to drive behind them in rush hours

Huh? I'm pretty good at identifying nationalities and there's no way that guy was even remotely Caucasian, black, east asian or latino.
As mentioned earlier, I'm not the kind of guy who participates in street racing. But trust me mate, when you have some looney on your arse, sometimes that's the only way out.

The funniest statement I've heard in a long, long time.

FYI, the guy was barely looking at the road ahead. He could've just swerved into our car. I've been at the epicenter of a couple of death defying accidents in the past and am pretty aware of what happens in such situations.

It wasn't my opinion by the way.

I meant the insinuation that women are bad drivers in the first place. Which has been proven time and time again,to not be the case.

In 10 years of my driving i have only had one accident, which was caused by a woman because she wanted to go from the left lane (i.e the fast lane) across the right lane (where I was) to the petrol station :S.

women should be banned from driving period.
