Where Can I Watch The Stars? Out Of Dubai, But No 4WD

where can i watch the stars? out of dubai, but no 4WD Oct 13, 2009
i don't have a 4wd but i want to drive out of dubai somewhere with less light to go and watch the stars (I'll see a lot more if it is darker).

Can anyone suggest a good place? i found this place called Murgham on the dubaiastronomy website. Has anyone been there?

Any other suggestions?

Go down Dubai Al Ain road, then at interchange 7 ( I think ) It says margham take that exit towards margham. It a long stretch of unlit road going through the desert.

can we drive a 2WD out to that place without any troubles?
