Fair enough...id say ill probably be the first to get a boob lift when im older and saggier.... :)

As long as you don't need one now...I'm happy!

Yes, more than a handful is a waste!

Botox (botulinum toxin A) is a cosmetic enhancement treatment designed to smooth out face and neck wrinkles. It is administered by injection and works by relaxing / paralysing specific muscles into which Botox is injected. This prevents the muscles from contracting and so smoothes out wrinkles in the overlying skin.

This is not BS but true-I knew of it but it also appeared last week or so in Emirates Today, I think. It just makes me laugh in a sadistic kind of sinster way-you go for a latte and come home with a permanent smile on your face......what must their husband's think?

Amzing to think that Botox comes from a lethal toxin - great!

Also they're now discovering problems with it, in people that have used it for years and years. They now end up having wrinkles in places you wouldn't normally have them as the face ends up using muscles it wouldn't normally use because the others are effectively frozen, so you end up using even more of the stuff. People go over board with it and get the freaky cat in the headlights look, it looks awful and plastic if over done. Plus to have botox injections in a non-sterile environment is not a very good idea.

Many people are now using fillers which last a lot longer than Botox, which needs to be readministered every 3-6 months. Fillers are usually water or saline solution based and basically fill out the wrinkles and lines. These usually last for about 5 years.

Of course you can go the the completely natural solution and have your arse fat sucked out and injected in your face - nice!

I thought it was the one about 'Hexactory' syndrome...as in the Japanese 'relationship' therapist who had a young lady attend his surgery complaining that she seemed unable find a suitable boyfriend. He proceeds to tell her to take off all her clothes and crawl on all fours to the door. He then makes her crawl all the way back again.

"Yes," he says..."You have Hexactory Syndrome!"

"What's that?" she asks,

"You face...it look Hexactory like you arse!"

Boom Boom!!!

hi all ,, well,,, i am totally against it ,, " unless there is a crucial need for it " for example << a real problem with the look ,,, well ,, in that case its needed !!! in fact am agaist any kind of what i call "playing with the natural body that God has given you " ,,, now not from a riligous view . its from a human view ..... that kind of surgeries - i think - its so harmful ,maybe on the long term . for me i even dont take medicines enven ,, like when i have a flu or being sick normally ,, of course it doenst apply to serious diseases . anyway ,,its my point of view ,, here is some of the side effects of the plastic surgery .

Giving a person a positive outlook is one of the effects of cosmetic surgery. The side effects of cosmetic surgery depend on the type of cosmetic surgery that is done on a person. Pain, swelling, soreness, and skin insensitivity are some of the side effects of having an Abdominoplasty.

Apart from these side effects of cosmetic surgery there are also associated risks like bleeding under the skin and blood clot. Most of these surgeries are done under local anesthesia or general anesthesia. People can return to work in 3 or 4 weeks after the surgery.

Some of the side effects of cosmetic surgery involving breasts are soreness, lack of sensation or oversensitivity of the nipple. The associated risks are that the implants in case of breast enlargement are not permanent.
If there is any problem after the implant, there would be the need to remove the implant and then cure the problem. This is one of the risks involved in such surgery. Permanent scars, dryness in the breast skin, and swelling are some of the side effects of cosmetic surgery like breast lift.

Effects of cosmetic surgery like chemical peel have over sensitivity of the skin to sun. Tingling and throbbing are also found in these cases. Skin allergies are also possible which has to be treated separately. 1 week to 3 weeks is necessary for the recovery from chemical peels.

Effects of cosmetic surgery like fat or collagen injections are excess fullness and burning sensation in the operated area. Redness and swelling are also found.

In case of dermabrasion and ear surgery temporary tingling and throbbing is found. The other side effects of cosmetic surgery like ear surgery are like other cosmetic surgeries.

Young children undergoing ear surgery are given general anesthesia and the older people are either performed in local or general anesthesia. Recovery takes about a week for an ear surgery.

Tightness of lids, itching of eyes, and discomfort are the effects of cosmetic surgery like blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). The patient undergoing this surgery can return to work in about a week or 10 days.

Risk of getting blind as a result of an eyelid surgery is very rare. There are many websites that give information on the different side effects of performing a cosmetic surgery. You can look to these sites for more information on cosmetic surgeries.

and here is another website to take a look at :

Had it done Apr 29, 2006
Just to let you all know my friend has had her surgery done and both her and her hubby are over the moon about it.She is like a new person and it is like she has come out of hibernation. So in this case looks like it was worth it .She still has I think three weeks to go before she can stop wearing the bra thingy she has to wear but she is already out buying slinky little dresses getting ready. It has made so much of a difference it is amazing. She has also now thrown out all of her padded bras and brought some very small bikinis

Castanello, with any kind of surgery there are always risks, particularly where anaethestics are involved. Which is why it's so so important to research and find a good qualified doctor and talk to other people he/she has treated.

Capsulted breast implants are a concern but the problem is not very common and yes they generally have to be replaced at some point in the future, but surgeons are making prgress in these fields every single day and coming up with new less invasive proceedures and ways to help the healing process. On that note you have to remember that every person is different and each body will react differently to surgery, some people heal very fast with no complications, others might take longer or have some problems along the way. There is no exact result.

What I do disagree with it cosmetic surgery as a quick fix for people who're too lazy to do the work themselves, i.e. liposuction to remove fat which can be done through diet and exercise.
