What does Dubai Summer mean to you?

For me it means:

* 12 hour brunches
* Empty roads
* 24/7 air con
* forgetting what the beach looks like
* Planning trips around shortest distance between car and aircon
* refreshments a plenty

12 hour brunches are nuts but you don't realize it until the only memory you have the next day is a debate about "vicarious liability", the "rule against perpetuities" or something like that on the 11th hour - with the doorman.

Man, aren't you going to need some therapy once summer rolls around and you can't do the paintball thing in 120 degree weather adn 300% humidity?

For your sake I hope they have indoor courses :wink:

Me too.
I do not swim during winter time. It is tooooo cold for me. But start swimming in April...And it is real pleasure to swim early morning in summer!!!

I agree with UAE-me...Desert at night during summer months is amazing! Can you park your car on the top of the dune and sleep under the stars? No blanket, no jeans...only light T-shirt and shorts...Lovely light wind...You will have the same feeling as you swim nacked in the night lake...Feel as small baby...
August is one of the hottest months here but you will have real pleasure at night.

this is from wikipedia

Paintball is a sport in which participants eliminate opponents from play by hitting them with paintballs, spherical gelatin capsules containing primarily polyethylene glycol, other non-toxic and water-soluble substances, and dye, shot from a compressed-gas-powered gun, commonly called a marker.

Games can be played either indoors or outdoors and take various forms, of which some of the most popular are woodsball, scenario and speedball, also sometimes known as tourneyball under various circumstances. Rules for playing paintball vary widely, with most designed to ensure that participants enjoy the sport in a safe environment. The sport requires a significant amount of equipment and has even developed its own slang.

A game of paintball usually involves two opposing teams seeking to eliminate all of the other team's players or to complete an objective, such as retrieving a flag, eliminating a specific player, or other paintball variations. An average, non-professional game of paintball usually lasts around five minutes to half an hour. Since its inception, paintball has drawn a crowd of both casual and serious players.
