But that s where you find the cheap Lacoste and Hugo Boss, even Rolex's. Only they are not.
How bout a cheap Ferrari, with a 4 cylinders Lada engine?
Seriously, the only time you find designer stuff at price lower than what they cost , it is because they have been stolen, or faked.

well you are right that you can get them really cheap from some places or even on the net because they are either stolen or fake ones!

But you can eventually get them at a reasonable price and sell them on and still make a profit (you can do all this legit way) for example in USA or Europe some of the goods are overstocked and than retailers would try to get rid of them at crazy price or maybe they have some OLD season stuff which is lying there and again will try to get rid of it. Thats when you can pick it up at good price.

I was thinking of running a small business mainly on the net i.e selling on souq.com or even using forums!

What do you think guys? is it worth it? Yeh I understand that I have got to be careful with what I am buying and from whom but if I have got that covered, could I pull it off??

Dubai Outlet Mall.

Yet another struggling venture, ill-conceived, badly positioned and with zero market analysis before jumping into the construction phase.

"Just build...and damn the consequences!" Seems to be the motto of Dubai.

They would do alright if prices were actually cheaper, like as in factory outlet like.

what kind of prices are you looking for? Lets say in dubai lacoste shirts are for 400dhs to 600dhs, would you actually pay lets say 250dhs for lacoste shirt from someone selling on the souq or some forums?

on-line is a different ballgame, and you would expect to pay a lot less for something that you buy blind. 250dhs is the top end on ebay. A factory outlet can charge a little bit more than this but should be at least 30% discount.

Until I see Georgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein et al sending me huge cheques for walking around with 'Dubai Knight' written all over their T-shirts, why should I wear their name on my clothes?

The only brand I will wear willingly is PornStar!

and 25 Dhs is the maximum I will ever pay for a t-shirt.

8) 8) 8)
