I know this has been discussed before but couldn't really get a good answer. Whats happens when your last paycheck goes in your bank account? Does the bank know its your final pay? What happnes if you have outstanding credit card balances with the same bank?

The bank acts when your sponsor informs them that you're out of a job, which is usually before your last paycheck. They might freeze your account if you have outstanding credit card balances. Probably depends on the bank, you, the sponsor, and how far your front teeth stick out .

This is basically correct, if you have no particular worries/debts you can discuss with your bank and get things sorted out fairly reasonably. If you are in debt this will be where the problem will start.
