Oil Change May 14, 2009
I'm due for my 80K oil change on my 2006 Range, but can't afford the 1800dhs charge of al tayer :( - are there speedy oil change places that will do it for me (change oil, filter, top up fluids, etch - in Canada we have these Mr. Lube drive thru oil change places - but I'm not sure if they are here)

Can anyone let me if I they exist and if it would be okay to change my oil there (just this one time)?

Thanks

you can go to Grand Service Station on Sheikh Zayed Road or Wheel 2 Wheel in Al Barsha..

Send me a PM with your location and I will tell you where you can do the oil change..

Al Tayer uses Castrol so I would recommend you use the same, if you open your hood, you will realize that Land Rover also recommends Castrol.. (I work for Castrol  )

Let me know if you need any more details

I live in the Ranches, work in DIC. The Wheel 2 Wheel in Barsha is it at the gas station on Umm Sequiem Road just before the MOE entrance???

Castrol oil - okay and they'll do the filter and everything too right? What is the cost do you know?

Yeah, thats wheel 2 wheel. They would do the oil change, filter, top ups, etc.

Im not sure of the exact cost as they charge a bit higher than the market price but you will get excellent service, I always do my car there, costs me around 400-ish.

Thanks H for your help. Normally I take it to the dealer, but I'm a weeee bit short this month and I'm about 400km away from my limit.

I'll go by Sunday after work. Sorry, I'm new to this forum and I don't know what PM means.

Thanks again :)

Only thing you should keep in mind is that you might loose the warranty if you sont service at the dealer on time..

Even though its the same oil used and recommended by the manufacturer/dealer, but they sometimes void the warranty if it was not serviced at the dealer. If the car is not under warranty, then there is no problems at all.

PM is a private message by the way.

The warranty is the manufacturer warranty up to 100k. I no longer have a service warranty it expired at 60k. So any major defects are covered, will this be affected?

How do you send a private message?

I think it would affect the manufacturer warranty, better check with Al Tayer Motors before servicing elsewhere..

I think you get the option of sending a PM after your 5th or 10th post, im not sure..

Aw come on man, just do it yourself. Its not that hard man. Just involves a little screwing and unscrewing  And don't tell me its a range rover. I've got one too.

Plus if you don't tell the stealers they wont know

Yes go to AAA if you really don't like your money. They do a good job of offloading it fast enough off you.
