Anyone who is wants to start a successful business needs to have a sound business plan.
So, what makes a successful business?
1-Decide what kind of business you will have. International or domestic? Small or big? Supplying food, goods, services, entertainment?
2-You have to know the level of risk involved.
3-Percentage(%) of the success of business:
how many customer per day-per month-per year
year salary-(product+staff)=?
4- competition (if to many competition don't do it)
eg: how many company or restaurant or cafe are your
Competition in with in your area.
5- organization (business and staff). Business updates and staff training at level of business knowledge-language-respect-safety
6- business Ad (TV ad and local AD) let everyone know that you open the business
7-don’t forget that cheap price means lower level business.
8-Location (the good locations are very important, inside city-mall- shopping centre-Airport, why? The answer is these kinds of location are for rush hours. Change the plain or shopping. People are very tired-hungry; they don’t care about quality-service –staff. They want only something to eat or to drink very quickly, so they pay and they are in hurry.
also you have to know market budget. in Dubai %90 of the small business closing down. like café-restaurant-shops. Why ? They don’t follow this business plan. eg. someone from India comes to Dubai to open shop(chicken curry) they don’t know about the market or business plan. Also he doesn’t know about how many other chicken curry are around him, after months they don’t make enough money, so there is the risk. They don’t fix the risk , because they don’t know how to fix it? and when? so end up with losing money and a lot of stress.
Every day business gets opened and next month closing down,
Never forget.
Good business is never for sale. bad business are all time for sale,
making money is very hard, losing money is very easy.
Jobs
For other young business like IT computers. First years of business were very good and successful. But in coming years get very slow. Why? to many people in market and business. Computer updates and software development make it very easy and cheap. The only chance in this market is being good in new software , doing something that other people can’t. here small eg of myself.
Me as a computer 3d graphic animator. Before to become to this point, I did a lot of hard jobs. Hospitality (hotels-restaurant),but this kind of work or business are only to survive, I did , because of supporting my study, my Goal as 3D Animation. 3D This business is very good, and it is very hard to use also very expensive to learn. So not so many people are in the market that they know in this business. Especially in Dubai, The success is %99. why? Every computer company, graphic design-TV commercial- film vfx. Medicine research. They are using this kind of program. These kinds of program are only used in Hollywood. I’m talking about 3d Maya-Apple shake-real flow-massive-renderman, So if you are good in this business or programs. You make a lot of money and also a lot of fun, For 3D animator a lots of big companies asking to work for them. So the 3d animators they are not looking for job, the job is looking for them. The point is, Do the great job, something that connected with your talent and your hobby’s.
90% of people, they do the job, because of money. Not because they like the job. That is the biggest stress in your life. You don’t like the job, but you have to do it, because of money to support yourself and your family. But the time is running, what about the liking of job? No, so that is mean, you are doing the job, but you don’t like the job. Eg- a lots of people are working in the buildings, most of them are graduate of university or high schools. Because they can not find the job, they have to accepted. So that is real stress for this person.
You get older, and older, but you never reach the goal.
