"Most of the emirate’s banks are not affiliated with British financial institutions, so those who flee do not have to worry about creditors" Is that really true? Wouldn't they (or a collection agency) be able to track you down in the UK, then sue you or something? It's not like you're run...

In praise of the Netherlands:

A Dutchie was riding his bike
on the bank of a beauteous dyke.
He rubbed at his chin
and said with a grin:
'A smoke and a pancake, I'd like!"

uaekid was horny as hell
barmaid's apron he'd started to smell

There once was a man from Siberia
with a terrible case of Diptheria.
For the love of God, Shrek,

The kid is now starting to fret,
dirty water he's not let loose yet.
He just cannot stand
one more time with the hand,
so pokes holes in the sand while it's wet.

would you say it is worse in Dubai with lay offs, than it is in Europe currently? Europe just started.... That's hard to say, because it only hit here a short while back. It hit banking, construction and real estate quickly and badly, but it's still filtering down the line. The world is going to hu...

yes, if you're male you may even be preferred, as there aren't as many males on the crews. I think I was wrong about the Emiratisation thing also. They are trying it for sure, but I think not in their cabin crews, as they boast so much about the multinationality of the crews (which is true and it's ...

If they say bank services are Ok I'll get my gun!

There seem more consultants here by the day, all spouting rubbish. House rents won't fall, construction will pick up next week, and so on, mouthpieces of interested parties trying to create spin. Here's one in Arabianbusiness.com. At least he hits the two main points: banking services in this countr...

postscript: Britain was a disillusioned nation after the second war, the free world had triumphed but the UK was absolutely bankrupt, and this for a nation that never gave up her independence! Some food rationing was still in force 10 years later. The 1950's were very austere years. I think, as I sa...

Also, once you are married, can you still LOVE your husband/wife and children, care for them, support them, and still think you have love to give (even s.e.x) outside of marriage?
