welcome-- just out from oz myself!
recruitment is very hot right now-- you might want to set up interviews w/the head hunters here in dubai. there is a high demand for talent in various areas (am myself recruiting for sales people) and the preference in many (not all) instances (rightly or wrongly-- not here to dabate) is for western ex-pats
otherwise you might want to contact multinationals here and let them know you are coming and in what areas you would be looking at. general admin i spretty broad-- could you do purchasing or events management or marketing/sls support? have a look at the local paper websites, the recruitment sites and the new middle east site jobs site (sorry i forget URL)
anyway, happy to hear more aussies are on the way-- the place can always use a few more, esp when there are so many poms to tweak when sports comes up! :D
