Hi Everyone out there in dubai,
I am currently thinking over a job opportunity that has come my way and would mean me leaving the UK and moving to Dubai.
I would really appreciate any advice or help with that decision.

How much does it cost to rent and how easy it to find somewhere?
What is the standard of living like?
Is there a good social scene and what boundaries are there for British/Expats etc with regards to drinking/smoking.
Would I need a car and are what are the costs?
Would you recommend living in Dubai?

1. Studio 50k-80k, 1 bdrm 80k-120k per year.
2. Abysmal to fantastic. Depends on your salary.
3. Yes. Don't drink or behave drunk in public. No streetside cafes with alcohol. Otherwise about the same as other western cities. You should have an .
