Hi everybody,
Joined just now! Very interesting to know about Dubai........ Right now in Thailand......... Planning to move to ME countries. Heard that Dubai is great and the most happening city in the world at present. I am a Finance Professional with 17 years of experience. What are the chances of landing up in a good post in Dubai? How should I approach anybody? I was told to come to Dubai and try for a job. Is it the right approach? How long would it take to get a job?
Could anybody give advice on the above, please?

Hi!! First let me welcome you to this forum...
Landing a job here is all about contacts and luck ( right place right time). Yes the best way to start is to come here and then look. Unless you know a good placement cell who does ME jobs.

that would indeed be a more balanced approach...only advice i can give is be wary of the rental prices...as its getting to be impossible to rent at the present rate...and if you are in a position to ask...ask for a hefty rental allowance or better still...ask your company to provide the accomodation...meanwhile there are hundreds of topic here on working/living/lifestyle about dubai...use the search function and you'd probably find all the answers...and all the best!
