Hi,
I am currently in sunny Luton, England and I am looking at options open to me in Dubai. I am a refrigeration / Air con engineer by trade, (although currently a Police Officer!) and I have applied for an AC job in Dubai.
I need to do a lot of investigating to see if the wages, opportunities, lifestyle are all that I hope for. I am married with 2 young children and I would love for them to grow up in community with a good education and a fantastic lifestyle.
Look forward to speaking members on the forum.

there sure are a lot of AC's here in Dubai...although for the last few weeks the need for heaters has been greater...it's freezing here.
Good luck with your search for info...

Thanks for the replies. However, can I just question the above comment! I think you have acclimatised very well if you think its freezing. Take a look at this link.
Looking at Dubai's weather, doesn't it get simply too hot? Or is it a world of Air Conditioning so you tend to avoid problems with the heat?
mrs Robinson
I must have adepted extremely well...
Thing is, it's been quite 'cold' over the last few weeks, and fair enough, outside it's ok again, but inside it's still a bit chilly...
I have no major problems with the heat...you go from AC to AC...just getting into your car when it's been parked outside is a bit of a nuisance, takes a while for the AC to get going...otherwise it's not too bad. Better than endless days of rain rain and more rain I'd say..

Funny that. Now it is actually, raining..... and cold..... and windy...and very grey.....Missing the UK?
mrs Robinson
not really...but that's more cause I not from there...

To all of the people saying it's "cold", I'm just curious what the actual temperature is?
