hi everybody, this is oldhippie.. who is not too old BTW only 40 years old.. i'm a big music fan and i love everything that happened in the 60s and seventies, but these days are not too bad either.
i've been living in dubai for two and half years and i love it, especially at night :)
i hope you are nice folks in here not like in some other forums where you get flamed for stating your opinion.

Yeah, this forum is a friendly place. Depending on how controversial your opinions are, you should be alright here - there is a huge mix of people. I for one welcome seeing someone else's opinion, even though I might not always (if ever!) agree with it.

Old Hippie? At 40 you are still too young to remember it properly! They say if you remember the 60's and 70's you weren't really there! You'll get on fine here as there are some others who can remember the songs and bands from before Take That! Start one off in the MMM Forum! My money is on me and/or Arnie having a good bash at getting most of them!

thanx zooter.. i don't really expect people to agree with everything i say (although i'm obviously always right :lol: ), but i'm pissed off with folks who immediately flame you for expressing a different opinion than theirs.

and the worst part is: i wasn't really there.. but not for the reason they are talking about.. i was too young in the 60s and in the 70s i was too far away from where the sexual revolution was taking place, all i had was the music and a glimpse of the lifestyle, but i kept a hippie in my heart and discovered later that i was one.

hi and welcome to DF. we r all nice ppl but just for safety: get a gun in case u have to (virtually) shoot someone's head in self defence. JK :lol: :wink:
