Hi all,
I am a Spanish guy moving to Dubai next month. Been there few times, and really motivated by the move. I just know few people from work, and would love to meet new friends.
I would like to live in whatever area that is vivid and busy in terms of amenities... what about the Marina area?
Needless to say, that any other advice for the move will be very welcome!

Hello and welcome to the forum and to Dubai
i wouldnt say Marina is "busy" with amenities. Sheikh Zayed or Bur Dubai would be a better bet. I am not sure what you mean by vivid though
best of luck with the move.

Thanks Maaad,
by vivid, I mean that is not purely residential and there are things to do around, with restaurants, bars, etc...
I guess the best option might be to find something temporal, and take sometime to check out the areas before making the final move...

Marina area is not so busy. Apart from HRC, and few expensive hangouts, its pretty quite. Bur Dubai or Diera is the place to be.

Thanks!
Just an additional question: is there any good fitness club in Dubai? Not only a gym, but something including tennis and other sports...

welcome aboard,
There are many fitness clubs around and pretty good ones as well. try jumeirah beach hotel the one next to burj, has a health club, 7 tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts. so i guess that one shud suffice your needs. I guess by the time u reach here the webportal i am working on would be fuctional, containing information about sports and fitness related activities in dubai. so check it out then.:)
cheers,

The Gardens has it all :P A great shopping mall (IBN Battuta Mall) with a foodcourt. In the Gardens are basketballcourts, tenniscourts, a football field, a cricket field and 3 swimming pools 8)
