What sort of industry are you guys planning to target?? donnathebeachbum You will need to consult with an attorney on this matter but will share the little that I know. Under UAE Federal law, a commercial company (i.e Limited Liability Company or Private companies) must be majority owned by UAE Nationals - 51%; legal ownership by foreign partner is restricted to a maximum of 49%. It is permissisible for companies to be established with 100% foreign ownership in various Free Zones in the UAE; the company must be licensed by the relevant authority in that Free Zone. Companies registered in free zones can only operate within that Free Zone. Further, prior to registering your company within the relevant emirate, you will need a 'no objection letter' from federal or local authorities (i.e. relevant ministry or governmental body applicable to your business) of the emirate prior to. Hope that helps. Take care harrysat hi
