I'm new on here. London based writer/webmaster with an interest in Dubai, comedy, viral advertising, football and politics.
I run a small Dubai themed website and blog (see if you can guess the names!) and am interested in what goes on behind the scenes in Dubai - just as the rest of the world has lost interest.

Hi. Some of us here would actually prefer it if the world left Dubai alone and it went back to being a nice quiet place where it was easy to make friends and do business, and wasn't full of half finished building and awash with the latest crappy pop stars and footballers trying to buy up the place. Still if you insist on writing about a place where you don't live then who can stop you.

I'm surprised you object so strongly to people writing about somewhere they don't live. Less surprised you're not keen on the footballers and pop stars though.

If I was harsh it's only because there is so much negative unbalanced stuff written about Dubai at the moment. If your intentions are just to have fun or to get a balanced view of Dubai then you have to come here as a normal person and meet normal people. You'll find a lot of lovely ordinary people here of all races, so don't believe everything you read.
