Hey hello there
I'm a 25yo Australian who has recentlty graduated from a Bachelor of Laws degree...
Could anyone suggest the best ways to go about finding employment in Dubai?
Very grateful for any help

These forums will prove to be the most reliable source of information for you, my husband has been actively looking for work in Dubai for the past 3 months, nothing happens quickly and nothing happens without considerable input from your end. He began by looking up firms that had anything to do with his industry and then cold selling himself, resume and unique cover letter to every single one. There are some fabulous people on this site, who have some wonderful contacts, but do not expect anything to happen overnight. My husband was offered a position back in early December or late November and he replied and is still waiting to hear back from them, and they are a very reputable firm. From everything we have read and been told, to be on the ground is good, but still certainly no guarantee of any type of position. So start trawling the net for appropriate places and sell, sell, sell
Good luck hopefully we will see you there.

Thank you 'lochy"
So I gather it's advantageous to actually be in Dubai prior to lodging job applications.. I'm not planning on heading over until June (which I hear will be quite warm...) so in the meantime I guess I will try my best over the internet.
I am thinking of searching/registering with international recrtuitment agencies. Has your husband had much success with any? A few stories i've learned about on the forum have turned me a little sceptical, but I have had very little success in tracking down legal positions in Dubai online.
Appreciate your help
