[color=green]Hi everyone,
Im a girl ..born and raised in the Netherlands. This country is cool, but Im up to something else. My mom, sis and I would love to stay in Dubai after our vacation this summer, but the problem is that we aren't the riches people in the world plus I can't seem to find alot of information about the dutch-uae relationship. What things you have to do before you get there etc.. The only thing I know is that I need to get my diploma (woehoe nothing much a vmbo diploma..Im now working on my MBO) translated or something...but what kind of grade will I be in if I come to Dubai. Will I be in a class with 2 year olds? :oops: And its better to look for a job for my mom when we get there? :lol: She doesnt really have a diploma btw. but has expierence in a couple of things. :wink: Oh and I've heard that the arabic schools there are for free? :? Anyway if you want to help me ..I would love to hear it!

There's a few dutch people in dubai - some of them digging up sand to build islands off the coast :).
Government schools are free for UAE nationals but I think other Arab nationalities have to pay something. Education is in Arabic and I don't think non-Arab nationalities even have the option of going there. Which leaves with private schools offering western education for 20,000-60,000 dhs per year. Some jobs provide an education allowance.
I don't think there are any Dutch schools in the UAE. There are German, French schools.

Hi!
passengeroflife
Hey iedereen!
:angel1: Was leuk! :( Heeft iemand van jullie een bedrijfje opgestart daar? Mn moeder wil er graag een marokkaanse bakker/restaurant openen, maar ik had gelezen dat een emirati de helft van het bedrijf moet bezitten...of iets in die richting?
In welke buurten wonen jullie daar? Anyway hoop snel wat van jullie te horen! :D
Bu Bye!

passengeroflife, this is an English forum, only very few ppl. here can understand what you wrote.
Setting up your own business in Dubai is not as easy as in NL. Yes, you need a local partner. A whole array of possibilities exist concerning constructions with the local partner. The need of a local partner made me decide not to open a business in Dubai.
I have an apt. on SZR.

Yeah sorry. I was going to type the translation in english, but I had to leave. I think in the Netherlands it's as hard as it is there. Here you don't need a partner, but 'cause I'm a muslim I'll need a halal loan which is kind of impossible here. And there, well yeah how do you find a partner? :roll: :? And he/she should be your partner forever huh?
