just to eat, walk, sleep in different place than home town.

I'm agnostic but if there is a greater power then I think travel is the best way to be closer to one's creator. The universe if there is a higher power, is a god (goddess) or gods (goddesses) gift to us. I want to see the world's natural beauty. I want to see how man has created cities and unique cuisines and customs.

Latin America and Australia have the best food in my experience. It's not the ethnic cuisines and gastronomy (I prefer Russian or Middle Eastern) per se but the available fresh organic ingredients.

I love to travel around to see different cultures, way of life, kind of people, social differences...the great feeling of being able to embrace, understand, appreciate and respect other culture is just one of a kind....and doing this all while having fun, mixed with feeling of mystery, knowing that you are a stranger in that place.......it's just plain pleasure at its best!

I've been Heidi in Switzerland, Princess in Brunei, Parisian in Paris, Lady in the Castle in Scotland, Lovely Islander in the Philippines, Crazy Party Girl in Amsterdam....awwwwwww I want to be a real Bella in Italy next, then a mountaineer in Sri Lanka!

I travel because I wanna have some fun as because its a hobby for me and for some people too.. and ofcourse the best thing to do is to shop.

Food, culture (I like to visit museums and galleries), architecture, a different climate, public transport... I also get insanely excited by sexy hotel rooms and high-quality complimentary toiletries. And Richard Quest on CNN.

I agree with you everyone, but I will still add something. I will admit that every country in which I was has its peculiar smell for me. Repeatedly being in one's country I smelt some smell which immediately I associated with the given state. I love this feeling

I travel because its interesting and fun. Today I went to Mars and had a look at a 16 mile wide crater courtesy of google earth.

First seeing another culture, then adventure, food, experience ... I am not interesting in shopping.

I guess for experience. Only I don't like tourism that much.
I prefer going to a place and stay. Build a story in that place. Create links.
Or alternatively follow a feeling. Pack my things and go.
But I don't have to be obliged to return a certain day. That destroys everything.

i travel because i need to meet muslims all over the world.otherwise i'm gonna die here in europe between the non muslims.i can't breath here if i see my neighbure drinking alcohol and do bad stuff.

But hey ....who am i....? to judge my neighbure.i'm the one who live in there country.!i just born in europe /have the same citizen as them = but i will never be like them! never!

Traveling is very refreshing! You change perspective and view points. Also it helps taking decisions, as when you are far from your life, you can distance your self from situations and see such clearer.

Its exciting, you see amazing other ways of life, different morals and values, you will pick different languages. When visiting poorer countries it makes you appreciate what you ve got. new ideas, teaches you to interact with others of different cultures.

Hello everyone! I am new here. I am an Asian woman who lives and works in America. I love to travel so I stumbled on this forum when I got interested in UAE-Dubai.

As to why I travel, I travel because it's a vast world out there. Maybe it's to know that there are other people aside from me. And to see that other people though different are just like me on some level. I think it's a shame not to know anything about other places and people. Although I am an introvert through and through, I love people watching and see how they go about their daily lives. There is also something very liberating about traveling. It's an experience of freedom.
