Didn't know they had a team, doubt they will get past the preliminary stage though.

Don't you think that is going a bit far?, the score would be 3-0 in that case. England certainly did not take them seriously in the beginning and for that they need to get their act together.

They held their own, the defence was good, their goal keeper was another one man brick wall. They had their act together. Sloppy shots from England, it was embarrassing. England have a mature team of 'once' talented players - where are the rising stars? And stop bringing Crouch on in the dying minutes! Hell the big man should be in there from the start!

“The English football team visited an orphanage in South Africa this morning.

It's so good to put a smile on the faces of people constantly struggling and facing the impossible… said Kagiso Goitsemedime, aged 6.''

Most of the Algerian team play in the English Premier league on a weekly basis so they know our game, but that cannot defend the lack-lustre performance from the English side.

As one commentator rightly put it: "How can you expect England to play as a team when the squad is only announced as they are getting on the bus to leave!"

Pants! Utter pants!

At least 'Calamity' James put in a decent performance! Better than butterfingers Green.

I was also pretty shocked that Germany went down to Serbia - ouch!

Have a read of this, as I said before complacency is one of England's biggest problems.

Saw this on twitter:

The French give up,
The USA make a late appearance,
And the English are left to face the Germans!
Sound familiar?

The teams at the WC are an assortation of the XI greediest, most selfish opportunists ever!!!

Ghana has no business selecting Kevin-Prince, the man has probably never set foot in Ghana before the WC and definitely doesn't know their National Anthem.

Like wise with so many other teams, selecting Brazilian players etc etc.

NZ has no business putting Reid on the team.

Half the Poles in the German team would rather play for Poland.

If I had to watch the XI costliest and admittedly talented players, I'd simply watch club football.

Give me the passion, pride and patriotism of Craotia, Turkey, Ireland , Russia, China, Iran anyday over the present crop in the WC!!!

Tell me who did'nt feel emotional when NK striker Jong wept tears during his countries national anthem against Brazil?????

With Malaga being purchased by a Bahrani tycoon expect to see more Algerians in Seire A (or have they been relegated?)

Hey MCL, whats your problem with Ghana man, Kevin Prince Boateng has most certainly been to Ghana several times, he was born in Germany his Mother is German and his Father id Ghanaian, that entitles him to play for Ghana, or not?

Sage why so touchy eh? Me no likey the Ghana team man, I'd have preferred Cote D'Ivoire anyday.

And now we come to Kevin-Prince. All his life he's played in Germany and is now playing with Ghana primarily cos the German team dropped him owing to behavioral issues. He only just got his passport before the games, and has probably just been to Ghana a couple times. So in my books that's purely opportunistic. As I said earlier at the very least the players should know their countries national anthem.

whats the point. pride and passion don't count for much in football.
skill and fitness matter more. and of course the pay cheque.

very unlucky Ghana. Uraguary could have been a bit more gracious.

But the antics of Robyn [sec] got under my skin even more. What a pussyy. Someone need to tell that guy (and some other dutch on this forum for that matter) to harden the f!@k up.
