Residency visa for UK/Latin American married couple Mar 13, 2007
Hello all

I'm studying an offer to come and work in the UAE. As I understand it, as a Brit I can get a residency visa for my wife & baby daughter... but here's the thing, my wife is Peruvian and has a Peruvian passport (albeit with UK residency & Schengen visas).

Will she be able to go on my residency visa, or will she require a separate visa (she won't be working at the start, but may want to 6 months down the line). If anyone has any insider info, it would be very welcome!

Thanks

Hi Guy,

You can sponsor your wife once you get your visa stamped no issues, provided your salary is above 4000Dhs.

correct ^^^ what matters is that she is legally married to you and that you have a sufficient salary to support her - and that you have an UAE residency visa. If she were to apply for a visitor's visa then she might have to go thru "hoops" as peru is probably not on the list of "privileged" countries. Suggest you apply for he residency as soon as you get yours - next day.
