Hi all, am planning to buy a 4x4, budget max.130k, pls suggest your opinion, best options, best resale value, best services offered etc..(i never owned a 4x4 before)

Toyota - reliable, good quality, expensive
Ford - good value for money
Hummer - outrageous

Ask your self why do you need a 4x4. Do you plan to go offroad and wheel it hard, (trips to hatta, fujairah and the beach are not considered going offroad)

Do you need a 4 door full size or a 2 door.

I may go for dune bashing and am a contractor who needs to go through rough roads and sand, and the main point is i need a decent vehicle where people says .....hm...he have a nice vehicle

I had a contractor wanting to buy my 1st discovery for the same reason, What is it with you guys you all a bunch of posers !

Anyways well since you do plan it take it offroad then look between these

The pre 2008 Land cruisers

Nissan patrol

Prado V6.

FJ cruiser

Pajero

There are some american import land cruisers and LX470's going pretty cheap ( 50-70k ish range ) at the sharjah used car markets.

But if your intrested in a new vehicle for 120. Then maybe a basic model SWB nissan patrol might fit into your budget or slightly used FJ cruiser

And only other new 4x4 I can think that will fit your needs and budget is the low spec Pajero although I hate that car.

I've been registred with you guys for donkey years now. Not a single ride which can be called cheap or even reasonably onced you add the shipping charges etc etc.

Plus just because your the higgest bidder doent means you win the car.
