Hi,

I work for a company called ICC in the UK and I am trying to expand our business out to Dubai. I have been researching this for a while now.

I am wanting to start selling our IT equipment in Dubai we specialise in HP,IBM and Dell servers and parts. We have the best prices and products.

But I am struggling to get heard in Dubai, I was wondering if anyone on this forum has any good ideas?

ICCMichael , are you located in Dubai or the UK? From a distance you may not be able to get heard.

If you are here in Dubai you need to network. Businesses here are typically yelling at people with ads and stuff.

Join some business clubs and establish a personal network. That's convincing personally.

What do you mean by this? Companies do not want to colaborate with you?

If your business is online, you can find a multitude of ways to get heard. You can create accounts on social media platforms and use PPC advertising. You can also add live chat customer service to connect with your users.

If you are in Dubai, networking and contacts are the two keys of sucess!
If you are in UK, make a person representative for you and your busniess and do the same!

You should get someone to partner with in Dubai. Someone trustworthy!

The best way to get heard in Dubai is to actually establish your company or somekinda virtual/satellite office here
or even get a company to become your agent here.

people in UAE would want someone in UAE they can contact and stangle if something fails

once you get some office here , you can put ads in etisalat or du pages (the other directories are garbage and not worth it)

ads on the internet , such as dubizzle

and cold calling/ meetings / trade shows / to get your name out there

its no easy task , it will take years to build your rep here

If you don't have an office here in Dubai yet, promote your business through social media etc. It would be better for you to consult a freelancer or agency to do the work for you (Dubai based preferably) since they would know the strategies that will work here.
