| Hi I am visiting Dubai in a few weeks and have a few question and was wondering if anyone could help me with. I have heard that you can get into big trouble for having prescibed medication with you when going to Dubai and was wondering if this is true? The only prescribed medication I have to take to Dubai with me is my contraceptive pill.. Would I get into trouble for taking that with me? Has anyone else had any problems with bring contraceptive pill into Dubai? Do I need a doctors note for it, in order for me to be allowed to bring it on hol with me? Would it make any difference if I dont have it in my hand luggage but have it in the suitcase and checked in. Thanks in advance. |

| No that's fine. You can buy the pill over the counter here, so no issues. If a drug is 'prescribed' and you have the prescription, then it's fine. But other things like Codeine which you can buy over the counter in other countries are illegal here. Contraceptives are no problem. |
